Fantastisk opplegg! Så sentralt! Fikk akkurat den bilen jeg hadde bestilt. Ingen kø ved skjermen. Lett å finne fram. Bilen var super. Den var god å kjøre. Kan virkelig anbefale! En av mine beste leiebilopplevelser.
Først klikket automaten, deretter viste det seg at jeg måtte ha med fysisk bankkort selv om jeg hadde både førerkort og Apple Pay. Måtte dra hjem for å hente bankkort med all bagasje. Veldig styrete, ville heller brukt hyre
Bra bil, enkelt å hente og levere i Bergen sentrum/flyplassen.
Elendig. Bilen var tom for kjøleveske, og kundeservice på nummeret på automaten var elendig. Veldig vanskelig å komme i kontakt med riktig person.
Like most I read the reviews here and had conflicting feelings about renting from this location. I'm rating 2 star because the service was bearable at best. I would not rent here or any self service hertz terminal ever again. The terminal user interface is terrible and the touch screen barely works. There is only one terminal so give yourself ample time to check out in case there is a queue. Hertz never sent me a confirmation email and the app stopped working so that was also really annoying. I tried to contact them via online help desk and apparently they don't work Wednesdays?!?! _----------------------------------------------------------- TIPS IF YOU RENT HERE: The Hertz terminal is on floor 2 The terminal is outside the lift. You need your driver's license, passport, and a physical credit card with you. (I only needed my Credit card and license but bring you passport just in case) MAKE SURE YOU TAKE TONS OF PHOTOS OF THE CAR. I can't stress this enough save yourself the headache and take photos of the cars existing damage inside and out. Check out is easy all you need to do is scan the key fob and place It into the machine. _--------------------------------------- Don't expect tons of support from Hertz and have low expectations going into this and you'll do just fine. I'm writing this the day of my return and awaiting a final bill from them. I'm expecting there to be no issues as I gave them the car back in the same exact way I received it. (With a bunch of scratches and damage to the rear bumper already present on the car. I attached photos) I'll update this review once I receive the final bill. Update: Hertz is trying to charge me for pre existing damage not caused by me. I emailed them back within 20 minutes and haven't heard anything back yet. I also provided the photo proof to back up my word. We will see how this turns out. This location is an utter mess. I'll update when I get more info. Last update: They dropped the claim and we cleared things up. Take lots of photos to help save yourself from unjustly being charged.
Return car review process only! (U.S. resident) I had rented a Hertz car in Oslo, Norway and took it for a 1000km road trip for 4 days to be returned in Bergen, Norway (one-way). I was worried about all the reviews but thankfully I had one of the easiest and quickest return ever. As many have mentioned this location is in a parking structure for Bergen central station on floor 2 (plan) and row 22. There were barely any signs that says Hertz but know that you should be in the right place. The kiosk was super easy to use for me, click on "Return", it asks to scan the fob that's on your rental key and then it'll pull up all your information. Press "return key" and a key drop box will open up. Once you insert your key you are basically done! It'll show a confirmation screen (take a photo) or you can also have it print out a physical confirmation receipt. The confirmation email and final billing invoice won't come out for about another 24hours though so keep that in mind if you don't get it right away as it probably has to calculate all the tolls also. It looks like the reviews says only open to 4pm but since it is a self-service kiosk I don't think that time is correct as I returned my car 2 hours late and was still able to access the public parking structure and kiosk without any issues. I only got charged 1/4 rate for my late rental which was great instead of a full day. It was my poor planning. Also, I see a lot of complaints about people being billed more. In the final invoice Hertz sends out it will itemize all the charges for you. Norway currently has a 25% tax on everything. After verifying all the Hertz charges added up correctly it actually ended up that Expedia doesn't calculate the correct 25% tax to your total as I went back to my confirmation quote and it didn't add up on their end. So do keep that in mind if you think you are being billed wrong from your quote to final. Yes, this is definitely a Expedia/booking error they need to fix on their end.
