In english I had a terrible experience with this company, and I’m writing this so it doesn’t happen to anyone else. I rented a campervan for 7 days in November 2025. On the fourth day, the gas stopped working, and even though we had purchased an additional assistance insurance for USD 90, they never answered when we ran out of gas. The campervan was freezing and the electricity didn’t provide any heating. We managed to find a hotel only because it was low season; otherwise, with –10°C, things could have ended very badly. We spent an extra USD 250. On top of that, we had no water for three days. They didn’t take responsibility for anything. They are not reliable, they offer no support, and they leave you completely on your own. In our case, they ruined our vacation. I had an amazing experience renting a campervan from this company for my recent Northern Lights trip in Norway. It was honestly one of the best decisions I made. Chasing the Northern Lights by driving ourselves was incredibly fun and gave us so much flexibility. The campervan made everything very convenient — it was easy to move around, and we could cook our own meals anytime. One of my favorite moments was being able to stay warm inside the van while watching the aurora. Whenever it got too cold outside, we could simply hop back in, heat up, make some hot tea, and continue enjoying the view comfortably. I highly recommend renting for at least 3 days so you have enough time to drive around and find the best locations for viewing the Northern Lights. The company itself was excellent. The staff were very helpful and provided clear information before the trip. Their website is also reliable and easy to use. When I arrived, there were around 20 vans parked, which made the company feel very professional and trustworthy. Overall, I truly recommend renting a campervan from here. It made the whole experience unforgettable.

I had a great experience with Arctic Campers in Tromsø and would absolutely recommend them. I reached the pickup location by taking bus line 430 towards Hansnes and got off at Sigerstad. From there it was only about a 2-minute walk. The welcome was very friendly and professional. The booking was reviewed with me in detail and I really appreciated that I could use leftovers from previous renters (food and small supplies), which helped a lot for the first day. The camper and all technical features were explained thoroughly and clearly. I also received an envelope with very useful information, including things to avoid (for example, which tunnel not to use), general driving tips, and a return checklist. This was extremely helpful, especially for first-time camper travelers in Norway. Because I returned the camper on a Sunday, I received special return instructions in advance and even a friendly reminder via WhatsApp, which showed great customer care. The vehicle itself was in very good condition and everything worked perfectly. It was clean, well maintained and fully ready for winter conditions. One small note for renters: on Sundays, bus connections are limited. From Sigerstad there was no return connection and I had to walk about 10 minutes to the next bus stop. Maybe this is something to keep in mind when planning your return. The deposit was refunded only three days after returning the camper, which is very fast and reliable. Overall, Arctic Campers offers excellent service, clear communication, well-prepared vehicles, and a very customer-oriented experience. I would definitely book with them again!

We recently rented out one of their Norway Explorer campers, because it was the only camper that had a self-charging battery & Diesel heating & we were really happy with the car and the comminucation before, during and after our rental period. I had several questions about their cars before I made the decission to book with them and all my questions were answered friendly & on point via their contact formula on the website. The booking itself was super easy, too. Once we arrived for the pick-up, we went through the booking again to confirm everything and got a great introduction to the camper we will take. As it was beginning to mid of February, winter was still ongoing and we received a vehicle with stutted tires. In the 6 days, we drove over 1600km without any isaues. Temperatures below negative 30 were not a problem for the heating eitger and the water tanks never froze. We had it warm & cozy inside the cabin when needed and the limited amound of hot water worked perfectly fine for the daily tasks. We can really recommend renting your camper with Arctic Campers, especialky in winter and if you plan on seeing the Northern Lights - a car makes a hell of a difference and if you can sleep in it, too, then its a total game changer! 🙂

Dalia was such a great guide, she gave us heads up on SO many things, the camper was fantastic, performed as much as we wanted. We were a bit overcautious in the snow and got a bit close to getting stuck a few places, but never needed a tow. We put what we think was about 2400 Kilometers on the odometer, and had a wonderful time. DO heed the warning about the low clearances if you take the 3.5 meter van. The GPS ABSOLUTELY routes you to take those quickest routes and you HAVE to be watching and willing to make an immediate U-Turn without much of a heads-up in order not to take the tunnel. We loved the "free stuff" table for previous customers to give forward to other guests, and were happy to donate a sled. Associated advice: Make sure to keep your suitcases and other items away from blocking the heater vents when settling in for the night. Our first night, we woke up to the heater having shut off, and in 5° interior conditions, because a carry on, and a laundry bag had covered 3 vents, and we think may have overheated the heater. Once we took the bags off, and reset the heater, we never had any issues like that, the rest of the week long trip.

Had a great experience renting a campervan for 11 days. The camper was well maintained, everything was as advertised online. The staff was super friendly and gave us some tips n tricks to make the most of our trip. This region in Norway is one off, if not the most beautifull place in Europe, and discovering this with a camper is a fantastic way!

Eine sehr schöne Erfahrung. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir haben einen Camper-Van für 9 Tage im August gemietet und hatten nichts auszusetzen. Die Bedienung ist super leicht und alles ist selbst für Camper-Neueinsteiger einfach zu verstehen. Wir hatten keinerlei Komplikationen und konnten den Urlaub voll genießen. Eine absolute Empfehlung ein Fahrzeug hier zu mieten anstatt bei anderen Anbietern. Das Reservieren online und die Übergabe funktionierte auch alles super einfach. Für unseren Nächsten Norwegen-Urlaub werden wie wieder hier ein Fahrzeug mieten!
